Vilcabamba, Ecuador is known across the globe as “The Valley of Longevity” It gets that name from the numerous elders who have lived to 90 and beyond. These folks have been studied and been made famous.
Vilcabamba is a small town of around 2,000 folks and is south of Loja, Ecuador. It has been able to keep it’s heritage intact, for the most part, because it is not visited nearly as much as the rest of Ecuador. The residents would prefer to keep it their little secret.
