Manta, Ecuador is quite a place. Not in the top 3 as far as size goes (actually is no. 5), but a good choice for a beach destination. The port of Manta is growing and eventually it will be a major port. Manta has some of South America’s most breathtaking beaches. Manta was selected as the site of the sixth South American Windsurfing Championship.
It is renowned for its diving and sport fishing, with Black and Blue Marlins reaching even the 1,000 pound mark. Tuna is it’s main economic activity, but tourism is growing steadily. Tennis is also widely practiced in Manta. A number of ATP Challenger Series have been played in the city.
All kinds of plans are in place for Manta, so don’t overlook visiting this city. There a lot of surfers, para gliders, kite surfers, etc. looking for a good time in the Manta area.
